S
o to start with I’m a super indecisive person… typically when Fiance and I go out to dinner it takes me 15-20 minutes to read the menu… That being said when I went dress shopping I only tried on 6 dresses, 1 being a major no. I ended up buying a dress that day Much to everyone’s surprise. I think I mostly got it because it was on clearance and it fits me very well And it is flattering..but now that the wedding is closer and I’ve been seeing wedding dresses for months And been more exposed to them I wish I would have tried on more dresses.
Right now I don’t feel like the dress I picked is very “me” if that makes sense. I wish I had at least tried on a dress with lace. I feel like that is more “me”.. The wedding is in 2 months.. So I don’t think there’s even time to consider a new dress much less room on our budget.. I guess I’m just looking for reassurance?
Sorry for the terrible bathroom picture… its the best I have right now as the dress is at my moms house.

@kelclrk: I think you look beautiful! Never forget the power of accessories either. The right jewlery, veil (if you are wearing one), shoes, a sash. It all makes a world of difference. Your hair can even make a statement with the dress. You picked it for a reason! ๐
If you truly don’t feel happy and you have the money, there is no harm going to try on other dresses, just be prepared to buy one. You don’t want to go dress shopping, fall in love, and not be able to purchase it. But like I said, You look beautiful! ๐

@kelclrk: I love the way it looks on you, very feminine with the detailing around the neckline. Two months isn’t much time if you want to pick a new dress, and then there is the expense. If you really want to do some changes you could add a colored sash or lace wrap, but honestly I think you look absolutly wonderful just the way you are! You’re wearing something that shows off your beauty and makes you look like a radiant bride! Congrats!

I think your dress is beautiful! I am much to practical to advocate for buying a second dress, but I definitely think you could make it more “you” with some accessories.
To give you some perspective, I had a long engagement and am indecisive too, so I made sure to try on a lot of dresses. I honestly think that just made it harder for me, I would have been happy with a lot of them but it became this thing where I had to find the absolute best one for me. I had over a two year engagement and started looking right away, but didn’t order a dress until about 5 months before the wedding. If you are already an indecisive person, you may be a lot better off that you didn’t give yourself the chance to obsess too much!

Thanks ladies! I think your right once everything comes together ill be more confident and more “bridal”.
@linnylou_88 I love mantilla veils! I just don’t think it would go well with my dress.. And I don’t think I really want to wear one; I just dont like the idea of my hair being covered up.
@magicmoments I bet your right… If I had tried on more i would be a mess. Sometimes it’s better to just pick one with out seeing all the options Lol. Plus even if I were to try more on we cant afford to buy second dress and that would make me feel worse.

Thank you!! My hair is actually my favorite personal attribute :)I’m going to wear it half up half down curled with a flower. These are my inspiration pictures :

but without the braids..

I Like the curls better in this one, but I would want the part that is pulled up tighter, not so loose. I’m afraid my hair would just fall out of that.
I’m almost sure this is the flower i’m going to get.. I think it will match the dress well.

@kelclrk: I absolutely love that dress on you, and think you will look AMAZING on your wedding day. But if you’re not satisfied, you do still have time. I only have a less than 3 month engagement and was able to find a dress. Department stores like Nordstrom and Bloomingdales are good places to look for last minute gowns (and they aren’t all as expensive as you might think…mine was $300). I picked mine on a Tuesday and it was shipped and to my house by Friday. Then I found a seamstress who altered it within 3 weeks. So, if you aren’t satisfied and want a chance to look again, I think you still have time.
