We are eloping in a week and a half with a few friends and family members outside. It seems like it may be 90 based on the forecast now and let’s hope it doesn’t rain because we haven’t back up plan. I was going to bake cupcakes (severe food allergies) and bring them, but if it’s 90, we can’t stay outside and we live in a studio apartment so that doesn’t work. We were Planning on going to a restaurant after that is allergy friendly, but can I make a reservation for 8 people in advance and warn about allergies? Just the overall lack of planning is extremely stressful as I’m usually super organized. Any advice?

Why wouldn’t you be able to make a reservation in advance?

Yeah, just make a reservation.
You might also want to look into a backup plan for rain. If its only 8 of you, I dont see why you cant find somewhere inside as a just in case – you wouldn’t actually make them stand outside in a storm would you? Even booking a private room at this restaurant can be your backup. Just move the ceremony there and have dinner after.

You need to find a location where you can have a backup plan in case of weather. Do any of the people attending have a house with outdoor space that you can use?

The restaurant sounds like a feasible back-up plan. call around some places and ask. Also make sure they can accomodate having the ceremony there. Or maybe you could do ceremony at city hall + dinner at a restaurant after? Also even if it doesn’t rain I would caution against making your guests sit/stand in 90 degree heat.

So there is an old school house in town that’s cute. Maybe we can use that as a backup plan!

I wouldn’t take anything to chance. Make a backup plan ASAP. It poured freezing rain all day on our wedding day so we had a plan B in place and had to use it.
