Sometimes, you just need a day off.  It sounds like you need one, take it ๐Ÿ™‚

Sounds like you need a personal day… do you have time you can take?  if so stay home and relax!

Well…It sounds like you really need us to tell you that you can stay home, so I voted stay home. But really, working less than a full work day five days a week in a casual data entry job does not sound like it should stress you out this much. Do you have something else going on? Sounds like there’s more to the story.

Take a mental health day. If you aren’t going to get flack for it, don’t even second guess the decision!

I think you’re just looking for validation to play hooky. Yeah work can be stressful, but honestly your schedule just sounds like a normal work schedule. I realize there may be other issues at play, but I really think you should go not call out unless you absolutely are unable to work. Especially because this is a new job, it’s really important to build a strong personal reputation for hard work and reliability. Your boss may not say anything to you, but calling out does impact his opinion of you.

@Jacqui90:  In that case, YES, stay home. This must be a big change for you; take it slow and don’t get yourself too overwhelmed! But good for you, getting back to work! I hope it gets easier for you!

I hope i’m not overstepping here, but part of your recovery has to involve mastering control of your own life! The Bee is so helpful for so many things, but you know your abilities and limitations- this is a decision that you can make alone. Decide to take care of yourself! Setting goals, making decisions, all of that is important to rebuilding your self esteem…

@VAwife:  This, definitely. Work can be stressful, and especially for someone with anxiety – I get that. But part of being an adult and learning to cope with your anxiety is to continue to follow your routines and take responsibility. I personally wouldn’t call out, and if I was your employer, understanding though I may be, this would really affect my opinion of you if you called out after a week and a half of part-time work. I don’t mean to be harsh, but honestly, I wouldn’t do it.

@kittyface:  I agree with this. I wouldn’t call out unless legitimately sick ( contagious), and only take a mental health/ personal day if I had the time.
