LLMMCC:  If I did my math right then are only inviting 13 people to your wedding?

If that is actually the case I would DEFINITELY get out of your contract asap so you can keep as much of your deposit as possible and look for something else. For under 15 people you can have an all inclusive for mush less….if money is the issue. $500/head seems outrageous unless that also includes lodging or something.

Where are you looking to wed?

How many people would be invited to this wedding that will cost $6500? Number of guests has a lot to do with what type of wedding you will have, so I would like to know that first. I have plenty of small wedding ideas.

LLMMCC:  I’m sorry you’re having such a stressful time Bee! It sounds like there’s just too much on your plate and something has to give. Planning a wedding shouldn’t be a miserable time…if I were you I’d try to do something less stressful whilst still keeping the family involved (aka keeping them happy). Maybe just a courthouse ceremony and out to dinner at a restaurant afterwards, and then you can celebrate with something more like a trip or a bigger celebration at a later date when you have more time on your hands.

seejanebee:  it might be one of those venues that require a minimum amount of people…and if you go under that you are required to pay for the minimum. My venue is like that. The minimum is 50 people, but we might only have 30-40 show,  yet we have to pay for the package as if 50 were showing up.

steny03:  Honestly, that is what I assumed the situation was. But if I were only going to have 13 people- a $6500 all inclusive price tag isn’t worth it….

Take a look at Wolfies/waterfront/italian village at the rocks. Im having my wedding there and minimum numbers are 25 for the smallest room at $140 a head.

Also try Gledswood homestead or Eschol house which all do small weddings under 40 ppl. Other than that try private dining rooms at restuarants. There are lots of nice ones around.
