Yesterday marked 5 weeks from my May 29th wedding day and I am feeling so stressed out. I am waiting on people to rsvp by May 15th so I can have a final head count. I just feel like I have so much to do! I have to finalize plans with the dj, finalize plans for the cake, do the flowers, etc. I’m just BEAT!
I started planning this wedding this January and am afraid things won’t go smoothly, is anyone out there that is stressing out closer to your wedding date??

Ahhhh – good luck! I think every brides feels this way.
Maybe take an hour out today and get a pedicure and just relax and NOT think about wedding stuff for a little while.

I have 5 weeks to go too! (and I’m also doing my own flowers) I think at this point, I’m just prioritizing. At the end of the day, if I don’t wrap the candles in vellum, no one will notice.
Just remind yourself, “I’m getting married! To a wonderful person!!”

Omigod! What’s vellum? Why aren’t I wrapping my candles in it, whatever it is?
that about sums it up ladies — how very stressed I am six weeks before our wedding. I’m freaking. plain and simple. thought I had everything under control; well not really. but thought I had all the time in the world, and suddenly, where is it all? so many details to tie up… and every time I cross something off the ever growing list on the fridge, more and more pile up… I’m outa paper to write the lists on and outa room on the fridge. I’m losin’ it, I tell ya! Where are the days I used to yearn for Fiance to move in here, yearn for him to just ask…. o’ my!

I am june 5th and really getting stressed. I want to enjoy this last part as much as possible but there is an ENDLESS list.
I think at this point, simple is best, I will do what I can and if not, then I wont!!

Agreed! I have these waves of stress where it starts to come on and then I calm down a bit and then I get super stressed. There is just sooo much left to do before June 5th and I get overwhelmed. I also didn’t start planning until this past January. It seems like there has been no break since!
I keep telling myself to breath, relax and remember that I am marrying an amazing man and on the wedding day thats probably the only thing I am going to be focused on!

ugh, sometimes it’s just wedding overload, isn’t it? good luck in the home stretch!

I’m at 7 weeks today and I’m feeling similar to Miss Watermelon. Technically, I’m fine everything is going as planned and no real disasters yet. I still have to order the rings, but I have the deadlines for everything and we’ve got plenty of time. Also still to come is choosing flowers (appt.’s made for Tues.), finishing centerpieces (in process), order the cake (they only need 3 weeks), and sort out the music as we’re dj’ing ourselves (friends helping with the lists).
I sort of wish we were getting married next weekend so everything would be done already! But that’s not really realistic. Heh. Hang it there, it’s the home stretch.

I am in the same boat! Started planning mid-December and the wedding is in 21 days. I still have 3 finals to take next week and then finish many of the same things you listed above. I am sure it will all fall together — somehow! I don’t even know what to work on first. Making a list with small, doable tasks has always helped me, despite the fact that it freaks me out for a few minutes when I look at how long it is. You’ll be married to a wonderful man at the end no matter what though! Good luck 🙂
