@kissa2727: At least the extra’s are covered, right? That’s good.

We still have a few months but it’s going to take every penny that we have coming in over the next months to get everything paid for. There was a lot of procastinating and now it’s kicking us in the butts!

omg yes. Totally worried. We have to come up with 3725.00 before October 1.

I have no clue how we are going to pull this off.

@kissa2727: I went through the same thing with my mom over the hor d’s and open bar.  I wanted to do a small limited bar or cash bar, and like a third of the hor d’s but my mom wanted more and wanted to do an open bar.  I just let her do it her way since she said she would pay for it.  It turned out to be a bit more than I wanted to spend, but she was happy to do it, to have it turn out the way she wanted.  Don’t worry, they want to do it and can afford it right?  Only if they couldnt afford it would I object.

I know exactly what you mean.. My dad is paying for ONLY my reception.. I have to pay for photographer, Dress (1,500.00), ceremony fees, flowers, cake, and evrything else that isnt the reception and still pay the mortgage, utilitys and everything my family needs… With it only being  a mth and a hlf away, I know exactly what you’re going through. Stay strong girl =/

You may be able to save money by offering cheaper drinks, or having drink tickets. We saved a lot by not having any hard liquor. No one seemed to mind much.

I was super stressed out even the day before the wedding trying to pay for everything. I learned there are a lot of hidden and extra costs you don’t anticipate. If I could go back I would have invited less people but that is just me.
