So I am almost 38 weeks pregnant and I feel like my body has been taken over by stretch marks.
They are on my hips pretty bad (about 7 on each side but they are pink and purple) and are starting to come in on the bottom of my belly. I can’t see them if I look down of course, but I can see them in the mirror. With each couple hours they start to become more and more pronounced.
Did you get stretch marks during pregnancy?
After baby, what do they look like now? Did they fade or go away?
Anyone have tips on making them stop growing like weeds? It’s making me SO SAD.

I got NONE until 37 weeks and I thought I’d got away with it until she started to drop and then THERE THEY WERE. Even then they didnt look too bad but it was because they were under my bump and I didn’t realise how bad they were until afterwards. I’m 4 and a half months postpartum now and they’re still there but definitely fading a lot. I found massaging them in a hot bath with a scrub of some kind and then using bio oil on them afterwards has helped a lot.

I got a decent amount with my first pregnancy. The downfall of having my chest like quadruple in size with the pregnancy was the amount of stretchmarks that caused. I also got some on my love handles and inner thighs…none of belly, though. They never go away, but the degree of color returns back to your skin tone. The most important thing is to keep them moisturized…I would lather them up with vitamin E oil…and keep them out of the sun. The sun will impact the color they turn back to.

I’m using a dermaroller and it has changed my life. I tried spreathing the word in this thread:
Dermarolling/Needling stretch marks!
It’s the best thing I have ever done for myself physically.
ETA- I got severe stretch marks during pregnancy and didn’t start rolling until my daughter was 1.

I didn’t get them last time, definitely have them now. But whatever! Most people I know who did get get them faded within a few months.

I didn’t get mine to 35 weeks + so they aren’t super bad, a few below my belly button and on my hips as well as on my boobs. I used all the creams and still got them! After DS was born it took about a year for them to fade to that silvery colour, so I don’t notice them as much now.

my mother got them so i am bracing myself. I got strtch marks when my boobs and hips came in too. I would be shocked if i got none but i am using creams just in case. So far nothing but i am only 22 weeks tomorrow so we shall see. Wont be fun getting them but either way it’s worth it.

I have stretch marks all over my thighs and I’ve never even been pregnant. I honestly don’t find them all that big of a deal.

My entire stomach is still covered in them over two years later. They’re whiter than the rest of my skin and deep like little rivers. I also had them down to my knees during pregnancy but luckily those went (mostly) away. Sadly, it really is all genetics.

I didn’t get any and I didn’t use any creams or anything. I think it is all genetics.

I got a ton with DS. They are on my belly starting in my woman parts region and they go up past my belly button. They have faded and are almost the same color as my skin now but they are still sort of “deep” so they are still noticable and this is 3 years later. I just consider them battle wounds. I created a baby inside of me so I am not ashamed of them.

I put coco butter on mine when I started getting them and vitamin E, it helped make them less visible and after I started I didn’t get anymore. (Can’t say that was the direct reason for if it but could have helped)
Tanning after helped make them less visable and time of course.
