hopefully someone else has had this happen & can help me out!
this weekend i was wearing a tea-length green skirt with a few layers and fraying. i was sitting with my hands in my lap and then reached up for something and a few strings got caught in my ring! i pulled most of them out right away, but there’s a small bit of string still caught in one of the prongs. i’ve been trying for 2 days but can NOT get it out! help!!!

You know I’ve never tried this but believe it or not my jeweler told me to burn the fray out. I would definitely check with a professional though! Sorry to hear that 🙁

This may sound silly but have you tried tweezers? Or if you have cleaner with a little brush in it you could try scrubbing. Or a toothbrush might do the trick too … just a little soap and water on it.

I have never had one that I can’t pull out with tweezers, but I would recommend taking the ring to your jeweler. They should be able to do something for you while you wait.

Please, please, please take your ring to a professional.
Getting prongs caught on fabric may be a sign that they are loose and need to be fixed-and the act of ripping threads out of your skirt could have made the situation worse. It could be nothing, but it could be something that needs to be fixed. Either way, let someone who knows tell you what’s up and give it a proper cleaning.

I would definitely stop by a jeweler next time you’re at the mall or passing by one on your way home from work or school… they will be able to help!!
