Hey bees…I’m trying to finalize plans for lighting in our 40 x 60 century tent and could use some help!!!
Our tent is white and we’d like to hang string cafe lights from the two center poles out to the edges of the tent. Nothing elaborate- probably just 3-4 strands coming from the each center pole to the corners/edges. My mom already has 50 ft. of industrial grade cafe lights from our backyard engagement party earlier this summer, but the wiring on those lights is BLACK instead of the traditional white wiring to go on a white tent backdrop.
Anyone have any experience and/or opinion about whether we should ditch the black wiring and order white? We’re on a pretty tight budget and reusing what we already have would be wonderful. We need about 120-150 feet total lighting, so 50 feet is a big part of the total footage we need! It would be great to use the black wiring, but I can’t seem to find ANY pictures of white century tents with lighting using black wiring and I’m worried it will look totally weird.
Help is MUCH appreciated 🙂
