My reception venue is not allowing any amplified music since we are not renting out the entire restaurant. So, we are hiring a string quartet for a ceremony and we are thinking of keeping them for the reception as well. They said they can do jazz/ swing / Frank Sentra type music for the cocktail hour and dinner and they also have lots modern rock renditions. My concern is about dancing. Most of the guests are not going to know how to swing dance so that leaves the modern rock. Do you think people will dance to a string quartet?? Has anyone on here used a string quartet for their reception?
