has anyone tried this for reception decor?
they look really pretty but I’m afraid how they would turn out in a real wedding..

@bemyraspberry: I’m considering them–more for overhead decor as opposed to tabletop. Something like this, in my colors:

I made these. Messy but super fun. I ended up liking the more as home decore (we hung some above our bed) rather than wedding decore (as we decided to go with more vintage decore) but I would defiinitely suggest giving them a try! 🙂

We’re actually going to do these as our centerpieces in a slightly different way – we’re going to use colored string (a dark blue, one of our wedding colors), and make them actually stack a little instead of placing them down the center of the table. I’m doing a final mockup in the next week or so – I’ll try to post here once finished in case you want to see!

@LaMarie412: I would love to see them…I think that I want to do these as part of my modern wedding…with a touch of vintage.

I am planning on making them and hanging them from the ceiling 🙂 i love them.
Does anyone know if mod podge would work if i mixed it with flour and water?
and can I use lotion/baby oil on the balls instead of vaseline?
Thanks!
