- Wedding: June 2013
We’re having a small wedding, about 50 guests, and the reception will be held at a favorite restaurant of ours. We are not religious, don’t belong to a church, and are struggling with where to hold the ceremony. Fiance does not want to do the courthouse. I don’t really want/need any of the traditional walk down the aisle for us or our bridal party so we had considered a park… but do we just show up at the park, exchange vows and leave? It just seems a little awkward. And then we also would need to deal with permits, etc.
We are planning on doing a first look and the bulk of the photos prior to the ceremony. So, my new idea is to have the ceremony on the back patio of the restaurant we are using and then can we kinda go straight into cocktail hour? I can’t imagine that the ceremony will take more than around 15 min.
I just want this day to be relaxed and fun and I am stressing so much about the ceremony right now!
