I pestered my Fiance about it and I feel bad now that I did. I really should have just trusted him and kept my mouth shut, because what he ended up planning was better than anything I could have come up with. BUT now I feel like a brat, because I knew the ring designer and asked them a bunch of questions, and I found out that he ordered it because of a poorly timed email. 😓 I was way too involved.
I’m sure he didn’t just go looking for the ring for shits and giggles – he has a reason, and he’s probably got an idea as to what he wants to do – maybe he felt like your anniversary, or that trip, were too obvious? Maybe he’s trying to save up to pay off more of the ring at once (especially if you’re like me adn fell for a ring at the upper end of your budget.)
Did he buy a ring? Did you pick one out that you definitely wanted? Could he be having something made?

I think he has bought the ring but I dont know for sure. I told him by preferred rings (2 that I love, very similar but one higher set than the other) and he was going to make the decision. Both are at the upper end of the budget but he had the savings for it.
I dont want to pester him, so I am just going to make a promise to myself to not talk about it again.
I think I am finding it a lot harder becuase one of my BFF’s got engaged at Christmas and has asked me to be a bridesmaid. I am so happy for her but its making it very difficult to stop thinking about getting engaged and married.

FWIW, my fiancé took me ring shopping, and from there it was a year before he was able to buy anything. So ring shopping to proposal ended up being 1 year and 4 months.
