I think your wedding will be as fun as you make it/want it to be!  I have been to weddings that went until all hours of the night that were a total drag and brunch weddings at 11 am that were a blast! Don’t let the timeline bog you down or bum you out, it’s YOUR DAY above all else.

can you have the ceremony at 2 but start the reception at 7?  Big time gaps are normal around here.

Well if the venues are right next to each other and you could start the wedding at 7 you could still have a reception 8-12 or so.  I’ve been to a wedding where they did that and it didn’t feel like we were eating too late or anything.

Well if you want the wedding late why would starting the ceremony at 6 be an issue?

@AriaAmante:  Oh okay, I understand that now. I want my ceremony to start before our sunset so Fiance and I can take sunset pics when the ceremony is over.

I guess your best bet may be starting the wedding at 2pm, or your latest possible time before the 5pm service your pastor has to attend. I would possibly spread the word somehow to your guests to have a light lunch because they will be having a heavy early dinner later.
