So this is my first post and I’m already addicted to this site! I’m getting married in September 2012 in a church. I was dead-set on the idea of a fit-to-flare gown, preferably in lace with a chapel train. However, we went dress shopping last week for the first time, and while I did not find a single lace fit-to-flare as I see online, I fell in love with Alfred Angelo’s 2083. Problem is, I then tried on a Tulle (which I stronly disliked prior to trying on) ball gown to satisfy my mother. Needless to say we bought it b/c it was on sale for $99.00!! IF I go with the ball gown I intend to add a train to it (as seen in one of the pics) or even a different corset and add lace to the skirt.
Here’s my thing. My bridal party is covered in tattoos and we were planning to have them in lace boleros, possibly wearing birdcage veils. That idea’s out the door if we go with the ball gown as opposed to the fit-to-flare. I’m in love with the fit-to-flare style even moreso than the ball gown still, but something about the princess look is oh-so-breath taking! I plan to go shopping at least once more, when you only spend $99 on a dress, how can you not!? Which dress looks better with my figure? I do intend to lose about 5-10 lbs, just to get the curves back around my waist…
Note–the ball gown fits perfectly, the fit-to-flare is two sizes too big in the pics.

You look ah-maz-ing.. in the fit to flare!

The fit to flare is stunning on you! That gets my vote, hands down.

The designs on the ball gown look a little late 90’s – early 00’s in my opinion. It’s still pretty, just a little outdated.
The fit to flare is stunning on you.

Hands down, I think the fit-and-flare is more flattering and sophisticated… you’ve got an incredible figure, don’t drown it! 🙂

I’m loving the fit n’ flare on you!

I actually think the shape of the ball gown suits you a bit better, so I’d go for that, especially since you already have it. 🙂

I love the fit and flare shape on you!

I prefer the fit and flare on you. The ball gown looks really dated and it’s not as flattering.

The fit and flare looks incredible on you!

Love that first one!!! You look fantastic in it!

I ended up with a very similiar fit and flare gown after debating between that a huge tulle ball gown. My motto: if you have the figure, go for the fit’n flare. And you clearly do. Work it! It looks lovely on you.

If I had your figure I’d go with the fit & flare, just sayin’.

Fit and flare for sure! That ballgown swallows you up and honeslty I think the ballgown looks a bit dated.
