My wedding is in December and I think I need something for my shoulders/upper arms as we will be doing some photos outside and it will be freezing!
I have seen photos of loads of pretty boleros/shrugs/stoles that look amazing with strapless dresses, but I feel that they might look strange with my dress – I can’t find any photos of brides with a dress like mine AND a cover up of some sort.
I would love to see pics of brides with a similar style dress + a cover up, or hear any suggestions of what I could try, I feel really stuck! What would you wear if you were me?
Here is a pic of the top of my dress:

Because your wedding is in December, what about a faux fur wrap? This particular style would keep you both warm and probably wouldn’t clash with the high lace neckline of your dress.
I’m not sure if it’s your particular style–Just trying to help you out 🙂

ps-i love the second one the most (with the flower) and I thought you may be able to add a touch of blush pink to that to tie it all together gorgeous!
I got these off dressilyme website.

Maybe you’re all right – a fur stole or something would be okay – I’m thinking one that I can wrap around level with the top of the lace might work!

@Loupyloo: I found a really fantastic vintage brocade coat with a fur collar at a consignment shop a month or two ago. It was on sale for an amazing discount (75% off!) because of the time of year – it had been a $400 coat, and I pounced on it. It was a bit of a splurge (especially while we’re wedding planning), but seriously an amazing score for $100 …
Anyhow, my point is, if you are into vintage things, now might be a good time of year to check out vintage shops, consignment places, etc., and see if you can find a really beautiful coat or cape that would complement your gown?
