Help Bees. I CAN’T FIND A VENUE.
I have a caterer, flowers, drinks, staff, invitations all figured out but I can’t book until I find a venue! I need my $4k venue budget to include all my rentals for the space (lights, dance floor, tables, nice chairs, linens) I have asked for help before and mentioned that I loved Belmont Manor. Well, by the time they have a Sat available their prices will have gone up and pushed them out of my budget. I have found some great companies that I can rent all the necessary rentals so now I just need space!
So at this point I am looking for a park/garden/natural area with a:
-nice park or open space where I can bring in my own caterers and tent for 125 people
-allows alcohol and has reasonable noise ordinances.
-costs around $1k so I can afford the other rentals
Does anyone know of an area I can rent relatively cheaply in the Central Maryland, Eastern Shore, Washington DC area ?

I got married at hawks pleasure club in Baltimore county md. It was a little less than 1k. They allow outside catering. It is a very basic hall think like a vfw or moose lodge but it is on the water and it was gorgeous. We had ceremony outside reception inside and had a fire pit outside during the reception. we just got our pictures back and the ceremony on the water was gorgeous. My family and friends could not believe we had that type of view for the price. But keep in mind the inside is very standard hall type and definitely diy. They do allow tent set ups outside. Hope this helps!

Also you may want to check out Conrad Ruth Villa. Hear they are reasonable not sure exactly how much and what is included vs what you can bring in.

seejanebee: Rockfield Manor 🙂
$2K for a Saturday wedding, INCLUDES tables and chairs, and no tent needed because they have an awning covering their patio area. Can BYOB, can choose any caterers (FYI, I know you said you have one in mind, but if you haven’t already checked them out: Sterling Caterers of Jarrettsville. VERY reasonably priced and great food!) They have a large open field next to the patio. They fog the area for bugs. It’s a lovely, affordable space. If you want more info feel free to PM me.

Wait I totally agree about the Conrad Ruth Villa. It’s a bit out of the way, but it’s location on the water is so pretty! I have no helpful info lol but I go to a work event there every year and I know our vendors bring their own alcohol with no issue

Not sure about cost but Herrington on the Bay is beautiful! I just checked out Rockfield Manor and that sounds like a great deal and it’s beautiful!
