As the title says 🙂
I’m an English grad student and have three huge projects due very soon, all in extremely different fields (children’s literature, queer theory, and teaching composition).
My accomplishment so far:
Writing a 15-pager for one of those projects in only two days and with little previous knowledge of the topic (yeah… I changed my mind a few days ago and therefore much of my research was no longer applicable). I think I did 20x more learning than I did writing these last two days, and my sources were all super complex. I think it’s really solid and I’m super pumped!
It still needs an introduction… I need to email it by sometime tomorrow, so I think I’ll wait until morning to finalize that. Then it’s on to the other two projects!
What have YOU done that you’re super proud of or excited about? 🙂

Finished a major presentation today with a pain-in-the-butt noncommunicative partner who didn’t share any of their work with me until we were presenting! Glad that is done and I dont have to deal with the drama anymore! Treating myself to reading a really interesting fun book tonight instead of studying like I should be

I got 98% overall in one of my classes! Im most proud of my exam marks. Despite being lazy and not going to a lot of classes I managed to get above 85% (which is an A at my school) in everything!

My programme has the highest minimum entry scores for any programme in the whole country (due to a combination of high demand/low number of places available and academic scores), so I guess you could say that everyone in my class is very bright. However, the failure rate in my class has been massive. We were about 120ish down to 90. The fact that I’m still here makes me happy!!

I haven’t killed anybody out of stress and I even made dinner last night! Ha. This has been a really hard and trying semester, I just submitted a 33 page paper Monday and two lesson plans yesterday, got a 100 on a final yesterday and only have two finals and one project to finish up by Sunday. It’s finally over!!! I’m also getting married in 25 days so it’s been really stressful, but I think I’ll end up with all A’s.

I know how you feel about the high drop out rate, I started with 28 in my cohort in Fall 2012 and we have 12 left. It’s crazy.

I took late 2013/early 2014 off to have a baby, so this year was definitely a challenge, juggling motherhood and schoolwork. I only took on a part-time courseload, HOWEVER:
– I did not drop any classes. I stuck it out. I only ever skipped when my kiddo was sick.
– I wrote two long-ish papers (12-15 pages) and about half a dozen short assignments. I didn’t leave them until the night before they were due, either!
– My final marks were all A’s (and one B+ but shhhhhhh it was like 1% away from being an A-)
– My procrastination has been at an all-time low. I actually kept up with my readings and did research ahead of time?!
– I actually wore real pants the entire year. I did not wear sweatpants or PJ pants to school. NOT EVEN ONCE. Personal record. Go me!
Basically, I’m just proud that I managed to get everything done and maintain my sanity. It was tough, and nobody thought that I could pull it off. Only one year of undergrad left!
