I wish I had started paying for things sooner rather than waiting untilt he last few months to gather funds! There were unexpected expenses towards the end, and just seeing large chunks leave the bank account was not fun!

I don’t have many regrets from the day– but I wish I would have taken more pictures from the showers/bachelorette parties, etc… I left that part up to other people and I haven’t seen many pictures from either event!

On a more emotional side of things, for me personally I had a big adjustment period which just happened to be on our honeymoon! Even though I had thought about it before, it took me a while to come round to the idea of being a “wife” without losing my identity as an individual. Its hard to explain, but I was really niggly and pushy with DH and started a lot more arguments than I should have. In turn these mixed up feelings made me feel extremely guilty and at some low points when I felt down or confused, I thought I might have made a mistake, which of course made me feel even guiltier and like a horrible person.  Its not that these thoughts of adjusting was something I thought about constantly but it was always in the back of my mind.

Not saying its the same for everyone, but this was somethiing I personally experienced.

And btw, I got over myself and things are fantastic now! 🙂
