This is one of my biggest fears – someone finding out who I am IRL ahhhh! That is why my wedding date is off and I don’t get into too many wedding related details. I will also never, ever post a pic of anything.

At least your friend said all good things though…that is a great girl to have in your life!! πŸ™‚

I’m a blogger and have several blogs that reveal who I am, so I take it as a given that it’d be easy to trace anything I post online to me – which is why I am *super* careful to think twice before posting anything. In fact, if I ever do decide I need to post about something on the DL here, I’ll probably do what other bees have and make a second, anonymous account just for that post.

@shout4: I have to be honest, I probably would read more of her posts! Haha.

I wasn’t worried about it until it happened. Lol. A friend “found” some posts after figuring out my username. I mean, it wasn’t really rocket science since she knew my wedding date and I used to have my location. And mine wasn’t a great one either. Innocent But, c’est la vie? Lol. It IS like reading someone’s diary! I side-eye pretty much all Bees from my area until I’ve “cleared” them. πŸ˜‰ haha.

I worry about that too because I’ve had 2 friends get engaged since I did. I don’t want them to start using the same boards as I do and find out all my plans. I should have created a more crafty user name πŸ™

@shout4: Ahh, I would have kept reading, too!

Thankfully, I have yet to find anyone on here that I “know” in real life. πŸ™‚

I have been on the bee for almost two years, there are a few things that I would be red faced about, but there is nothing that I wouldn’t go back and read and be horribly embarrased or sorry about.  Just concentrate on being helpful and supportive on the threads that you reply to and do your best not to reveal too much in the treads you start about yourself.  Most importantly – familarize yourself with the ToS and commenting policies here
