Well, Bees… I am planning my first DIY project for the wedding. I’m going to be making our cardbox. I have a rough sketch of what I am thinking…. and the only thing that is puzzling me is HOW do I get the satin attached to the box without:
1. Visible Seams
2. Lumps where it’s glued.
Any tips from my fellow crafty brides? 🙂

I’d say, measure around the box, and the height of the box (without the lid if it has one). Then use a glue stick, glue it on tight, folding under the raw edges. You’ll have one seam, but just put it in the back where no one would see it, or on a corner. If you have to hide the seam, put the seam right in the middle of one side of the box, and cover it with a ribbon in a coordinating color. Btw, the glue stick will not give you those awful lumps! Hope that helps ya! 🙂

I agree with julies1949 – spray adhesive. I’m sewing a cover to go over a regtangular box.

Thanks for your help! I was thinking about using a hot glue gun…. but that might just be a disaster waiting to happen!
