Bees, I need some help! As part of my photography package, I’m able to have a bridal portrait shoot. Our wedding was a month ago, and there are so many pictures of just myself and my husband that we didn’t have time to take, or just didn’t happen for so many other reasons.
So, my bridal portrait session is scheduled for the third week in October. Can anyone offer suggestions in the Milwaukee area that is forest-y, and free/inexpensive to shoot wedding photos at? I’m looking for outside areas like this:
I also need a bad weather plan, since our photographer is coming up from Madison for the day. Anywhere with interesting architecture where you can take photos for free/inexpensive is appreciated! Thank you so much!!!
(P.S. If anyone has a better suggestion that’s in the Madison area or in between the two, please share.)

I think my photographer takes people to Kettle Moraine State Park/Forest for foresty type pictures which would be between Milwaukee and Madison.
Or Lakeshore State Park is where I think we’re going to do our E pics. It’s the little island between the lake and summerfest grounds. It wouldn’t be foresty but it has a similar type of grass to what you have in the first pic.
Have you talked to your photographer? Mine just asked that we tell him a general background (beach, forest, urban, etc) and he could suggest a few places that he may have shot at before that would offer that. If he’s a wedding photographer in the area I’m sure he’s shot 100 ‘foresty’ brial/engagment sessions!

I would definitely check into Kettle Morraine, and maybe the UW Madison Campus. (Not familiar with Milwaukee, sorry!) Lots of pretty buildings and great outdoor spots along the lake! There a couple wooded areas on campus too. Not quite what you have pictured there, but very pretty.

For an indoor plan the art museum has some pretty sweet architecture.

There is a really pretty park in Waukesha- Frame Park. Here is a picture and a link to a wedding shot there.

Lake Park or the Schlitz Audobon Nature center in Milwaukee.

You have probably already done your shoot, but if it’s still forthcoming: Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison?
