What’s there not to get? The bank wants to make sure the check is legitimate, it’s not personal, it’s business.

@hiroshymatetrastar:  Yuck….having both names on a check, isn’t it a bitch?  You can thank anyone that committed or attempted to commit insurance fraud for this extra fun step…it used to be so freakin easy!  Hell, I used to have a voucher book from every insurance company I represented and could cut checks from my office as long as I had the proper paperwork and it wasn’t over my threshold of like….$15,000.

Sadly, those days are gone, and with bad people running around this planet stealing everything from every person, banks take nothing for granted anymore, especially if there are two parties named on the check AND if the check is something that can be easily forged….aka, claim reimbursement checks….

At least it got here fast!

@StuporDuck:  …I only like the weird ones….something like a lost ring just doesn’t do it for me anymore, I’m jaded.

@Nona99:  I left the industry, but my favorite was supporting the fraud department. Lots of interesting cases there.

@hiroshymatetrastar:  I work in banking and I will say that this is exactly why my Fiance and I always make sure we are well known to the branch manager at any bank we work with. The branch manager has the authority to remove the hold once the back room places the hold. If you know your Bridesmaid or Best Man pretty well I would take Fiance in there with you and ask for the hold to be released. 🙂
