I had an aunt pat my stomach and ask “whens the baby due” about 2 months before my wedding back in March. This was infront of my entire family and I was HORRIFIED! I was wearing a baby doll type tank so I know that sometimes that can make you look like you have a little pooch but STILL!
I would of DEMANDED the manager and told them what happened if I were you. If I was a manager I would of fired the girl right on the spot infront of everyone. There is just NO excuse for that. Even though sometimes someone might ask someone whos not pregnant if they are and once they hear “no” then most people feel like a total ass and apologize. SO sorry that happened to you! Obviously she had major issues!!!

OMG! That is awful!!! I’m the same height and weight as you and I know I don’t look pregnant. What a bitch! I’m so so sorry you had to deal with that! Worst day ever!!

You’re taller and thinner than me, there’s NO WAY you look pregnant. No way. You’re at a great weight for your height and everything!

Thanks for the positive remarks everyone!! If anything, we have all learned from this…..NEVER SAY ANYTHING UNLESS THEY SOMETHING FIRST OR IT’S 100% OBVIOUS!! Although I hate to hear that this happens to other women, it’s good to know that I’m not alone. I know I don’t look pregnant but it really did hurt since I have put on weight in the last year. Thanks for the support ladies!!

There is no way you look pregnant at that height and weight. But, honestly, it shouldn’t even matter if you’re 5’6″ and 140 lbs. or 5’6″ and 440 lbs. Making a comment like that–commenting on ANYBODY’S body publicly–is just rude. Even if they really do look pregnant. Even if they’re in a KFC. Even if they are actually morbidly obese. It’s still really rude and really hurtful. There’s no way you should have been confronted with that. I’d say you should have spoken to the manager, but if you’re like me, you would have been so embarrassed by the whole thing that you wouldn’t have wanted to call more attention to it. I’m so sorry that happened to you, but I promise that it reflects badly only on her, not on you.

Some people are just rude and inconsiderate! Ah, I’m sorry girl. How embarassing. However, like PPs have said, there’s no way with your height and weight that you even look remotely pregnant. Forget her!
I remember standing in the line at FI’s grandfather’s wake back in November and I was wearing an empire waisted shirt and had my hands folded in front of me resting on my stomach. It must’ve looked like I was encircling my stomach, so this woman came through the line, shook our hands and congratuled Fiance and I, asking when ‘our little addition’ would be here. If I wasn’t at a saddening wake I might have gone crazy on her! It upset me the whole day. Ugh, some people!

Some people have no SENSE or manners! Im sorry she was a B to you!

Isn’t it like a rule somewhere that you should never ask a woman if she’s pregnant or say anything that suggests that she might be pregnant unless you actually see a child coming out of her?

Maybe where she is from getting married is assocaited with being pregnant?
Definately lacking in manners and tact but just brush it off and focus on your wedding planning 🙂

Some people are just ignorant. You are not fat. Just brush it off.

she must be very odd, how can someone who works in customer service, dare to make critical comments to the customer. dont let it get to you, she must be a very rude person.

It’s a simple mistake, I wouldn’t get offended over it to be honest. Though her lack of an apology is what would offend ME the most if that happened to me, and also (I’m assuming) what offended YOU the most as well, quite understandably.
