I’ve got a cute little metal case that an old pair of my husbands headphones came in that lives in an inside pocket of my gym bag. What I’m SUPPOSED to have been doing is slipping my ring(s) off, placing them in that case when we start our workout and then putting them back on as soon as we finished. However, I love my ring and didn’t like to take it off for anything. I thought the fact that I wore gloves in the gym protected me from scratching them (I lift weights) and possible ring avulsion (don’t google that) so I’ve been neglecting to remove them for . . . like two years. Unfortunately, I smashed my ring between two barbells a couple weeks ago. Fortunately, it can be fixed and I’ve learned my lesson. So . . .

whitechedderpopcorn :  I leave my ring at home for soccer games, safety hazard to leave them on or put them on a nacklace or something

At the gym since I usually go during my lunch break I keep them on

I have a pretty firm never take your rings off when not at home rule. I try to never take them off unless I am at home. If i forget and accidently wear them to soccer they go right into my wallet and in my purse which is on the bench and in my eyesight. I wouldnt leave them in the car.

whitechedderpopcorn :  They’ve got half fingers – like Madonna’s gloves in the 80’s. Long enough to cover my ring but keep my fingertips out – I like to show off my nails 😉

I usually leave my ring at home whenever I do anything active outside or go to the gym. My fingers swell up too much for it to be comfortable. If I forget to leave it at home, I stick it in the locker room along with my purse and stuff. If I ever forgot to take it off for an outdoor thing, I’d just be super careful about banging it, I guess.

I wearmine unless I’m swimming  (white gold and chlorine not a wonderful combo). If I am I leave it at home that day and wear a silver cladagh I’ve had since we started dating instead.

I only ever take my ring off for weight lifting. When I do, I tie my ring in my shoe laces and double knot it. It feels more secure to me than a necklace that could catch on something. If I had to not wear it, I would probably leave it at home.

whitechedderpopcorn :  When I have been home before the gym, swimming or netball, I keep my ring in a box in my bathroom cupboard. If I’ve come straight from work, I zip it in a hidden pouch in my purse which I then store under the passenger seat of my car. Jewellery is not permitted in netball, swimming seems way too risky for rings (especially in the ocean) and I do weights at the gym so I don’t want to risk damaging it.

I leave my ring at home when I go to the gym.

I do Muay Thai so I do punch people at the gym.
