MrsWhitneyC2015:  As a photographer, it’s not impossible to do an indoor session but it can certainly limit you. It really depends on the kind of indoor locations available to you. I live in a pretty small area so public places with plent of space and good lighting are slim (think large museums, etc). Is it possible to move your session time up? I frequently adjut my session start times if it looks like we can skirt around the weather.

Where are you located? I’m sure there are bees in your area that can give some great indoor suggestions

Our shoot also has a chance for rain and thunderstorms. The photographer gave us an indoor option incase it gets super bad. Ask your photographer for places they might have used in the past that might work.

Is there some type of gazebo you can have the photoshoot in? It would keep you dry from the rain, but the scenery is usually always beautiful from the rain (but then again I’ve never been on a super hard pouring thunder storm, so I don’t know how inconvinient that might be for you). Even if the day looks gloomy, the photographer can edit the photos so the tones are more warm and illuminated. I had a photoshoot at a lake park with a family a few months ago while it was raining that day, but during one of the rain breaks we started the shoot so they wouldn’t get wet. The photos turned out great with the heavy blue clouds in the back, and it looked sunny thanks to editing.
Indoors can be just as great too. Look up “Three Nails Photography” he has many indoor wedding photos you can use as inspiration/samples.

Hope all goes well and you like your photos!
