Hi Fellow Bees
I need some opinions on styling our garden wedding. so far we have decided on a garden/park wedding. color scheme is white, bit or silver and a small bit of purple.
Im thinking of having lace parasols with minimal flowers (to keep costs down, and we arent really flower-y people). however i think i should have a bouquet to walk down the isle with. but i also think itll look cool to have a parasol for the photos too.
Any suggestions on how i can do this? ie who brings my parasol to the wedding whilst i have the flowers?
also i think the groomsmen should have a boutonniere, which may look a bit odd with the bridesmaids not having bouquets? would it look allright having the girls with parasols and a corsage?
thank you for your opinions!

I don’t think it would look odd for the GMs to have boutonnieres while the BMs don’t have bouquets. But if you want to use a few flowers for your girls, I like the idea of corsages – depending on the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses and the corsages, you can avoid the prom look and it might add to a whimsical garden party feel. Or you can have each girl wear a flower in her hair.
And if you want to carry a bouquet but use a parasol in the photos, I’m sure there will be somewhere you can stash personal items, like a bridal room, and you can put the parasol there and have someone grabb it before the photos. Or you can entrust a friend or family member to hold onto it in their seat at the ceremony. Or maybe your mom can carry one when she is escorted down the aisle, and she can pass it off to you later on for your photos?
