Anyone have any experience having a minor subchorionic clot, but never having had any bleeding? I’m 22 weeks and this was just discovered on my 20 week ultrasound. My midwife was not worried about it at all, and did not recommend a follow-up ultrasound or any pelvic rest or taking it easy or anything. I’m pretty active and after googling this, I’m really questioning my lifestyle! I mean the extent of my activity lately has been walking, lugging around my laptop bag, and prenatal aquafit, but still. I have been having sex as well, and I’m wondering if I should stop, if I should stop carrying groceries, and exercising… I just don’t know what to think. Between my midwife’s ‘this is not a thing to worry about at all’ attitude and the internet’s doomsday predictions, I’m so confused! Is it only an issue if I’m seeing bleeding? I’ve never had any bleeding or cramping. She said it’s probably always been there, and ‘maybe the ultrasound techs didn’t note it because it didn’t matter’… huh? Also I have had like 3 previous ultrasounds (one was an attempt at an anatomy scan and the baby wouldn’t cooperate, but she did get a good look at my placenta), and multiple techs did not find (or mention?) this. I’ve read that if they appear in the second trimester it’s way worse than if they appear in the first (because then they have time to clear up?). FWIW I’m in my 20s, healthy weight, no other pregnancy complications, low end of normal blood pressure. Maybe the absence of other risk factors is why my midwife is so chill about this? I’m still worried :/ Any advice or experience is appreciated!
