@luli29:  I had one with my twin pregnancy and girl, it was BAD. I was bleeding so much in the ER it looked like someone had shot me. I remember thinking there was NO way the pregnancy would hold ( I was around 18 wks at the time) but even after all that they held on πŸ™‚ I really hope it goes away on it’s own with no bleeding, but if you do have some bleeding don’t lose faith.

I am sorry you are going through this but pray and have faith that God will guide you through a healthy pregnancy. I know its easier said than done.

I don’t know if this is of any comfort, but my friend had spotting everyday for the first 16 weeks of her pregnancy. She never got a confirmed diagnosis, but she had a beautiful healthy baby girl at 39 weeks! I hope this helps settle your mind, I am glad you are continuing to seek medical help. My future SIL told me that with both of her pregnancy’s the Dr’s told her WAY too much scary information, statistics, etc… and she was utterly terrified thru both pregnancies, but she also has 2 healthy baby boys, exactly 2 years apart. Good timing!! I hope your inner voice can be calmed by what little I have to offer, I just had to tell you.

I had a subchorionic hematoma located between the placenta and the uterine wall the entire time I was pregnant. I never bled, and it was never reabsorbed, and that’s unusual, I think usually one of those two things happen. I had a pretty bad hemorrhage when I delivered my son, but they’re not sure that’s what caused it…and in any case, at that point the threat was to me, not LO, and I had a great OB team who got it stopped quickly.

To be honest, I’ve known several people who’ve had them (and usually bled), and none that miscarried. There’s always a chance, and that’s scary, but 50/50 seems REALLY high…and telling you those odds seems a bit overdramatic.

Try to relax, keep your feet up and take it easy (I was told to lay off exercising until the second tri and not lift anything over 20lbs). And stay off Google now!

Glad your follow-up went well, and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

@luli29:  I’m so glad to hear it went well! πŸ™‚ I’ve been pretty darn slow at posting this past month, but I was so SO excited to see news of your BFP in the ttc POAS thread! When I read this I was so concerned for you! I’m sooo glad to hear everything is looking good, and the ladies on this thread have posted a lot of helpful and encouraging stories!

@luli29:  So glad things are looking good now.  Just saw your first post and nearly freaked out — so glad that I’m behind enough on this board to already have the update! Fingers crossed things keep going well!  I think they will!

@ChuckNorris:  LOL omg this made me laugh! πŸ˜€ It’s funny, I’ve been on the job hunt recently, and so my days have been kind of blurring together. Anyway last week I had an interview, and when I got to the office they asked me to sign in, and I was like “what is today? The 16th?” and they’re like “the 12th 0_0” haha sooo awkward! πŸ˜›

OP I’m not sure why your medical team was freaking out so much- is it an especially large SCH? Everyone I know whose had one has never been treated like it was a pregnancy ender. By the by, I’ve had 6 confirmed SCH’s and hemmoraged well into the second tri. I’m 36 weeks now with our little drama queen- SCH’s can still be conducive with a totally normal(ish) pregnancy.

Good luck!
