I’m just wondering if I’m the only person that is submitting printed and mailed cover letters and RFP’s to potential venues. I feel that in the New England area there are so many options for beautiful venues that seem to fit the bill that the easiest thing to do is weed it out by getting price requests and venue information this way. Very few websites provide the information that I want and need (service fees, taxes, ceremony and site rental fees, menu options and fees, available dates) and while I have no problem visiting venues, I don’t want to drive two hours only to find out that the lowest per person menu cost is $200 on top of a $7000 venue rental!
So…share your information gathering plan…I can share the cover letter and RFP if people are interested. (Personal Information scratched out, of course.)
