Happy Monday Bees,
Has anyone had a positive response (pregnancy) taking Clomid with slightly Low AMH (.78) / High FSH? My GYN has given me the option to try Clomid for a few months (with monitoring) or head over to the RE’s office. I’ve searched the boards and I’m not sure if I’ve seen this combo of therapies with a fair amount of success (seems that most move to IUI). If this is redundant, I am super sorry and welcome any threads if you guys remember reading some.

@RedBullFueled: hi! I say go to the RE. . they may try Clomid anyway but i think it’s best left to an expert when you have signs of DOR. for example, they may likely want to do Clomid with IUI so as not to ‘waste’ Clomid cycles when there is a low chance of success with just Clomid. or, they may give you the option of combining Clomid with injectible meds.
i also have low AMH so i totally empathize! Personally I am currently trying acupunture/Chinese medicine. . ..we’ll see if it’s effective! But before starting the Chinese medicine, I was about to try superovulation myself, , but in the hands of an RE, not a Gyn. I think there are too many examples of Gyns using Clomid improperly.
on a positive note, I have heard lots of stories of BFPs with low AMH! I have previously searched on this topic and I think Pantera Peach (a poster from abt a year ago) had one. . .and I have known people personally who have had success.

@hellorebecca: Thank you. I’m sorry you are working with a low AMH too. Please keep me updated on how the Acupuncture works for you! I’ve heard amazing things from other people. Besides all we need to do is somehow get our bodies to pick those good eggs 🙂 They are there!!

I did clomid with times intercourse and monitoring. It worked for us on the 3rd try. It is very important to be monitored. We started on 50 mg on CD3-7 and were unsuccessful. So we moved on to 100 mg, with an added trigger shot and got our BFP! We went through an RE though.. our gyno was unwilling to be do testing before doing clomid.

@MrsStrawberry24: Thanks Mrs. Strawberry!! I’m so glad to hear it worked with just BD-ing. Did you have any other symptoms of DOR?
