I have a convertible dress that I bought on Ruelala a few years ago; if you search on youtube I recall there was some video on them. I’d suggest for your gals to try on various ways of wearing the dress and let each girl pick her favorite style.

The styles that I didn’t like were the ones that required multiple “wraps” around my waist since it made it much thicker and less “curvy.”

I suggest to buy the tube tops to match.  Especially if any of your bridesmaids are larger sized or fuller busted.

I have a convertable dress (henkaa) and there’s no way I’m comfortable in it without the tube top – it’s just too revealing on nearly every style.  And the dresses have no support.  At least if you have the tube top you can wear a strapless bra with the dress.  Without the tube top, for most of the wrap styles you cannot wear any kind of bra under (well, maybe those sticky ones).

I was in a wedding where we all wore them. My tips:

– PRACTICE. They aren’t intuitive at all.

– Compile how-to videos to send out

– Bring safety pins and double-sided tape

They look really cute, and I thought it was a great choice — I’ve actually worn mine several times since then. They just take a bit to figure out and put on, and they often need some reinforcements (hence the safety pins and tape).

@FutureMsRPM:  I’m using Henkaa convertable dresses for my bridesmaids in a Fuschia colour. If you go on there website (http://www.henkaa.com) they have a number of stlyes and how to videos on how to tie them which could be heplful with your dresses also as most convertable dresses are the same design. My wedding theme is fuschia and bling so I got all of them crystal brooches all in different styles to add to each of there dresses to dress it up a bit and to tie my theme together

I know this is an old thread, but I’m hoping some of you still follow the Bee! I’m using maxi transformer/convertible dresses for my bridesmaids in a taupe color, and I’m wondering what shoes you ladies paired with these dresses. Thanks!
