I haven’t seen a ton of this, but I went on Pinterest and found some bouquets with succulents in them. I’m having a beach-themed wedding and some of the beaches out here have random succulents growing alongside the coast. I am going to talk to my florist today and talk about flowers for the wedding, but I’d love some opinions first. What do you ladies think?
Edit: I forgot to add pictures

I love them and they look gorgeous, plus they’re sturdier than traditional flowers so less worry over them wilting.
Just please don’t throw the bouquet, and if you want to throw the bouquet, have a small toss-bouquet made up without succulents.
As someone who once caught a bouquet made of firmer, pointier, non-traditional flowers, I can tell you, it is no fun at all when that thing comes flying at you… even worse if you “catch” it by getting hit in the chest with it in your strapless, sleeveless dress. Nothing like boobies gone numb after a friend’s stupidly long wedding day then being assaulted by flying pointy hard things!

love it – esp the second bouquet!!

Love ’em, but they will be very expensive.

It’s very trendy right now. We had them in our bridesmaid bouquets. Just keep in mind they are very expensive. My florist said that each succulent costs her like $7/piece.

We put some in ours and used them for the bouts….that was nearly 2 months ago. Some of the succulent leaves in the bouts are still alive.
They are very hardy

I’ve always liked succulents. You should go for it! They look beautiful in those bouquets.

Hand down if you love succulents then go for it! I for one am baised, i love love succulents and had them incorporated in our florals and my bouquet. 🙂 I had very similar inspiration pics as you that I had shown my florist.
Afterwards, you can actually take the succulents from your bouquet and plant them, as an added bonus 🙂

Thanks all for your comments! Now I know what to expect as far as $, bridesmaid bouquets, etc. I’m going to call my florist right now and set this all up 🙂

I ordered succulents from amazon (36 for like $50) and I’m making my own bouquets with them. Love the idea.

Those actually look really nice! I’d talk to the florist and see if she thinks she could make the bouquets work with them… I could also imagine it could be done really poorly 🙂

Don’t forget that you can also make awesome ‘masculine’ bouts with them too. I say go for it, but like fishbone said, maybe make a silk version of your bouquet if you intend to toss that puppy!
