I just found out today that our wedding coordinator is suddenly gone, and a new lady contacted me. No explanation, just assurance that the previous woman had got her up to speed on all the wedding clients, including us, and how things run there. Maybe she was fired? Would she quit?
She was a big reason we felt so comfortable in the space we chose, we immediately “clicked”, you know? Maybe i don’t need to, but now I’m worried we won’t have the same connection, and the feeling of our day won’t be as great.
We are meeting the new coordinator in two weeks at the food tasting, so I guess I have to just wait and see, right? calm me down, bees!

It will be fine. You have plenty of time to get to know the venue’s new coordinator. If you never really reach the comfort level that you need, you can always hire your own DOC. He/she works for you, and only you, so you know he/she will be there for the whole ride.

Oh hun, the same thing happened to me. The wedding coordinator that we worked with for two years was let go two months before our wedding.
I’ll be honest, I didn’t have the same relationship with my new coordinator, but my reception was still amazing, and that’s all that matters.

I had the same thing happen to me recently, and so far it’s turned out to be for the best. The former coordinator was in charge of two locations that our venue owns, and it was always impossible to get ahold of her. And if you did, she always needed to call us back. Our new coordinator has been a saint! Hopefully your new coordinator will work out for the best for you! 🙂
