I’ve already picked blue tablecloths for the reception.
Then, when we were meeting with the florist, I was describing how I wanted bright, colorful “enchanted garden” type arrangements that are whimsical but also elegant, and my fiancé said “what about cupcakes?” Yes, the cupcakes are HIS idea! (it’s based off of one of the 23 photos I brought to the florist, but he’s the one fighting for it)
So if we go with this florist, we will have white flowers in pink cupcake vases as centerpieces and a pink and white flower “milkshake” centerpiece on our sweetheart table. He said the ceremony can be stuffy and elegant, but the reception is for everyone to have fun. (I guess enchanted gardens aren’t fun?)
Anyway, I’m all for cupcakes and milkshakes. I was thinking “Love is Sweet” could be our new theme, and we could have swirl lollipops as the table numbers and mini bubblegum machines as the favors.
Now, I’m leaning toward “Sugar and Spice” as a theme, especially since my fiancé loves spicy food. But I have no idea how to incorporate the “spice” part.
So, this whole long post is just to ask if anyone has any cool “spice” ideas that work with the “sugar” we already have?
