Here’s to un-guilty pleasures!  Here’s my secret to cheese cake:  after it sets, I top it with canned cherry pie filling.  Mmmmmm.

I don’t believe it! This really tastes like cheesecake?? I guess I haaaaaave to make it this week sometime!

So after checking out the recipe, it looks like its lower in sugar & has lower calories than most cheesecake recipes… but 1/2 c of butter & full fat cream cheese!? It can’t be that low fat! I’m not complaining, just making note. Butter + Me = secret BFFs for life. 🙂

Was the consistency like cheesecake in the end?  I saw the picture on the recipe site and to me it almost looked a little less firm that a standard cheesecake.

I always make cheesecake with neufchatel cheese and I have really good results.

Oh yeah, but with that first recipe I subbed in neufchatel cheese instead of FF cream cheese and used FF cottage cheese instead of 1%. I also used Razzberry Jello instead of Orange, but any flavor would work.

It was super yummy, except the crust didn’t really hold together well the first night. I would suggest a teensy bit of butter to help hold the crumbs together.
