@dashwoodgirl:  Do you have in writing (email) or in a contract the original cost/amount of the bridal shower? If you do, you can go back and ask for an explantion. The coordinator must have a legimate reason. If the coordinator does not provide a good reason, go above his head (his boss) and show the proof that the original quote. Do not accept the situation.

@dashwoodgirl:  You can tell the coordinator that because he wrote in the email, it is in writing and he needs to honor that. Get the boss and you are most likely to get the deal. Also be nice and say that it is to his advantage to work with you since you will refer everybody you know to this place and he will get more business. Also tell him that you are guaranteeing a good number of people and it is a sure deal for him.

I was wondering if you found something. We are looking for ideas for an October shower.

@ktkoala:  I actually threw a bridal shower for my Maid/Matron of Honor when she was getting married at a resturant in Bethesda called Blackfinn.  They have a nice private room in their downstairs area.  The person I delt with is no longer there, but I think I had a $300 minimum which was perfect for about 25 guests, and they let me bring in my own cake.
