Buttercup014:  Some couples give a framed wedding picture, or at least give the frame with an IOU for the picture. You could also give them something that relates to their personal interests or hobbies; a spa visit; a stay at a B&B; a gift card to their favorite restaurant.

I went the personal route and framed my dad’s fav baby pic of us playing and bought my mother a crystal bell as she collects them. I have no idea what to get my Future In-Laws though. 🙁

Have you checked out etsy.com? They have some really cute gifts for parents and in my case, I ordered a keychain set for my parents. The keychains are heart shaped puzzle pieces…one for my mom and daddy and a necklace for me. This is what the keychains look likeparentsgift

I got my parents a 150 gift card to a really nice restaurant and the same for his parents but to a different restaurant we knew they would like. My parents value experiences over things so I knew they wouldn’t want a kitschy little love thing from us. His parents are more into that stuff but we were stumped on them. we will also be getting a magazine made of our wedding. It’s  part of our photography package we get 20 copies of it so obviously they will get one of those and maybe some framed pics for Xmas or something when we have then back. Oh I also paid for my moms hair and makeup bc seriously she did so much how could I not do something extra for her?
