Hi Bees,
Fiance and I are planning on getting etched 8oz glass candy jars for favors.. Originally we wanted to fill them with Jelly Belly’s that match our color scheme, but WOW jelly beans are pretty expensive! I would need about 50 lbs of candy to fill up all of the jars..
I <3 chocolate but I’m getting married in late July with an afternoon wedding so I don’t think that will turn out well 😛
Any suggestions? Our favorite candy is gummy bears but I think those will get messy too… 🙁
Thanks!

What about mini tootsie rolls? Everyone loves them. Or you could go with M&M’s. or skittles. All of those can be bought at Sam’s club for pretty inexpensive. If you’re dead set on doing the color scheme thing, there are quite a few websites where you can buy color coordinated candy.

8oz jars are pretty big, I’m looking at the smaller 4oz jars that have the old-fashioned clasp lid. They’re around .79-.89 each when you buy in bulk (I need 160-ish). I’m color-coding the candy to be their entree choice, but we’ve also thought about using nuts too. I’ve been looking at candy online since it comes out cheaper (even with shipping!)

^^ kinda like those but I’ve seen hexagon, and I’ve seen them cheaper. They all make you order the stickers too but I won’t be using them, none of them catch my eye.
4oz jars would help you cut down on cost, then maybe you can get the jelly beans!

@mudratdetector – can you please share the link if you find them cheaper!?! The link you posted is already cheaper than the couple other websites that I’ve seen.
I was searching for bulk candy ideas to fill the jars and came across these cute pimento olive candies – I think they’ll be great for my theme- I’m guessing about 10 would fit in a jar… any chance someone can recommend a cheaper website for such candy???
