I’m getting married!!! Yes I’m very excited about it. Problem is we still don’t have any honeymoon arrangements yet. We both don’t have places in mind. If you could kindly suggest places that we should consider, that would really be helpful. My wife to be and I are very much into traveling. In fact, after meeting in a meet foreign tours, we spent time together by going to other countries. We’ve been to Peru, Bali, and Taipei already. Where else can we go?

What makes a place an appealing travel destination to you both? Its cuisine, cultural attractions? Are you into sophisticated, cosmopolitan cities, or do you prefer a low key place? Is an active nightlife important?

When is your honeymoon?
If it is sometime between May and October I say visit Turkey. Visit Istanbul for historical sightseeing and then go to Antalya, Kas, for the beaches. It will be very affordable and romantic honeymoon. We had our wedding in Antalya and went to Croatia for our honeymoon. Our very close friends came to Antalya for our wedding and spend their honeymoon in Turkey. They loved it.

What kind of vacation do you have in mind? Do you want to see historical sites? A relaxing vacation on the beach? Are you into water sports or more mountains and hiking? Do you want the big city or something secluded?
For me personally, Hawaii was always on my bucket list, so that’s where we went. My husband had been there in high school, but it was completely different being our honeymoon. I’m a beach person though. There were a lot of things to see, but it’s not like going to Europe.
One of my friends went to Spain and her pictures are gorgeous. My parents went to Italy a couple of years ago and that’s become a must-visit destination for me someday.

We are doing a road trip to Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and Baltimore. Basically we couldn’t agree on a country so we decided to stay in the US. Neither of us are beach people, and my FH doesn’t like roller coasters (ruling out disney). We both are history people and like museums, so we figured we’d do a bunch of historical stuff. So we are taking a week, doing 2 days in each location.

We did 2.5 weeks in thailand and loved it. Once we were there everything was relatively cheap, so we really maximized our enjoyment for the $$.

I agree with N.Z. You have everything there from warm beaches to skiiing and adventuring all in a relatively small place. The scenery is amazing. The MOST beautiful country I have ever been to and I have travelled all over the world.
