I need some recomnendations for a processional song for the wedding. I have been married once before and used Pachelbel’s "Canon in D", which I love soooooooooo much but I don’t think I want to use it again. I need a fresh start. What are ya’ll using and can you help with any suggestions?

I walked down the aisle to Trumpet Voluntary played by a trumpet and string quartet. LOVED IT!
You can find some great processional ideas on iTunes…

I’m wondering the same questions. Every wedding I have been to has Canon in D (I love it but its getting out done for me) or Trumpet Voluntary. I’d love to hear some suggestions on some classical pieces or instrumentals that are good alternatives if anyone has them!

Air on the G String by Bach or Adagio From Concerto Grosso Opus 6, No. 8 In G Minor by Arcangelo Corelli. Still waiting to hear back from the organist on which she will be able to play. 🙂

The instrumental version of "Pictures of You" by The Cure. It’s so pretty and ethereal; the older folks won’t know what it is but won’t think it’s "out there" and those who do, I hope it makes them smile.
Ritzy Bee asked this question for an iPod giveaway. There were almost 200 responses; inspiration galore!

I am using Con Te Partiro by Andrea Bocceli. The song is gorgeous and it has a nice walking pace to it… plus it has a grand-esque/entrace type part near the 3 minute mark which I might or might not use for my entrance.

Im doing "Storybook Love", the theme song from "The Princess Bride". I am only using the first half that is purely instrumental.
