If it’s really bad, you should look into PMDD, it’s what I have andit’s completely unbearable. I had to go on to a stronger contraceptive and also had to add more meat into my diet but even now I still get some pretty bad mood swings. I try to have extra long bubble baths with lavender and rose oil and stay away from people haha but that isnt always possible. Unfortunately I can’t give you much more than that but might be worth looking in to?

@MariaW:  haha I went to a counsellor too but as you say, rational thinking isn’t my speciality when I’m at that time! I’m on the Diane 35 ED pill which can also help with acne (yay!) my doc did say though that there are loads ofdifferent pills out there and sometimes it’s just a matter of finding the right one for you.

Youre so welcome. I wish I’d known earlier so I could’ve made it easier, earlier haha. I have also cut down on caffeine and I think it does help a bit to get your system back on the right track since diet can sometimes get you out of whack. 🙂

I have heard that borage oil helps significantly as well ! I myself keep meaning to try it. One of my friends went to a naturopath and it was recommended to her , she said her emotions have stablized a lot !

Lavender candles are the best, and those cool himalayan salt lamps. I have anxiety disorders and I dont know if its a placebo effect or what but they do calm my nerves and make my enviroment feel serene!

80% dark chocolate, magnesium supplements, and a lighthearted warning to your SO (my PMS only lasts one day a month but it’s a crappy day, and every time it strikes I warn Fiance asap… he genuinely appreciates the heads up and the bonus is that he’s extra nice to me that entire day).
