I have a very simple engagement ring, that’s actually an anniversary-style ring.
I love it because I didn’t want my fiance to spend a lot, nor did I want some big, raised stone. My concern now is finding a wedding band to go with it. Fiance wants a tungsten-titanium type band and kinda wants us to get matching ones (we had matching promise rings through most of our relationship). Kinda like this:
I understand that, but the rings he’s looking at seem to be much wider and thicker and would overpower my ring. What are your thoughts on pairing it with a similar style but with black diamonds or blue saphire? Or should I just go with a thin, simple white-gold band?
We don’t want to spend much on the wedding bands – and I don’t think my band should be more than my e-ring which was like $700 or so. Any ideas on where to get something since Kay and Jared’s don’t seem to have black diamond or something that would go with my ring?

I think a plain white gold band would look good. because it’s going to be next to a channel set ring, I think a flat band would work best, like this: http://www.amazon.com/Comfort-Ladies-Polished-Wedding-Anniversary/dp/B001RYG4Groomsmen
I would not suggest tungsten for your ring. it’s such a hard metal, it might scratch the heck out of the white gold on your e-ring.
I really love the way diamond bands look next to plain bands! whatever you decide, post pics!

@ retroindigo: I agree with janie-janie, you might not want such a hard metal right next to your engagement ring.
My best suggestion would be to look for sales or even check out bluenile.com
I was on a super budget when selecting my wedding band too. I waited til Macy’s had a crazy jewelry sale (it was around Christmas). My ring was on sale, a special one day special, and we had a one day sale coupon… basically my wedding band, white gold with diamonds 1/2 way around the band was less than $350 (original price was over $900)!
