Here is our venue:
Dinner will be a buffet. As you can see, the tables are really small. I can’t put much of anything on them because there won’t be enough room to eat! I think this room is beautiful as-is. But do you ladies have suggestions on how I could customize/weddingize it?

Instead of centerpieces on the table, would they let you hang something from the ceiling? That could be really neat to have centerpeices literally floating over the tables!

can you hang things from the ceiling? That could be cool.
What about standing up vases with white and orange (or whatever color that otoman is- looks orange on my computer) flowers. Maybe some tree branches pained black.
The room looks really fun as it is!

I would probably just have my favors at each setting and skip the centerpiece.Or you could do a nice framed black and white photo of you and your hubby at each table.I wouldn’t decorate too much,it doesn’t need it.very nice venue!

Like the pp’s my first thought was to hang something from the ceiling.
The center part is a T bar suspended ceiling so it’s easy to hang things using fishing line tied over the bars or use hooks you buy especially for this purpose.
If you can’t line them up directly over the tables, I would do something that had a more overall look to it like branches
or use something just in the center of the room
Here are some ideas:
Hanging Wedding Centerpieces

Wow… that stuff is beautiful. And intimidating. Hanging centerpieces are gorgeous, but I have no idea what I would hang. Flowers are WAY too expensive. Maybe hanging some black and white pictures? Or something else? The wedding is casino themed.

When I think of casino ceilings, I think of mirrors. You could get some of those inexpenisve rectangular wardrobe wall mirrors (think WalMart) and hang them with the mirror side down. Again, if you can hang them directly over the tables , I would do that. But of you can only hang things in the center area, I would hang them crosswise in the room.
Then think of something very lightweight that you could put on top of them- like an ostrich feather pomander perhaps. Something that would be visble from below.
Alternatively you could do the ostrich feather pomander and hang something from it, as in the pic below. You could make the hanging strings with casino chips, playing cards etc. These would look better hanging directly over the tables.
