I just finished by DIY makeup trial. I have a LOT of questions for you!
1) It looks like I need to get a different blush – you can hardly see this one. Any suggestions?
2) I’m not sure about the eyeshadow. What do you ladies think?
3) I’m also not sure about the lipstick. Is it too light or too pink?
4) I have individual false eyelashes. Do you think I should apply them or just go with my natural ones (as I did for the trial)?
Thanks for all the help!

Honestly, I think your makeup looks great. I’m a huge fan of a more natural look, and I think your FH will be relieved that you look like yourself rather than being extremely made up. You can definitely tell you’re wearing makeup, but it’s not “over the top.”

I would go a little darker on the lips or the eyes, overall its a little subtle with both being light.

@brideatbeach: I agree.
I think you look very natural and beautiful. I love your eyeshadow and I can see your blush and thinks it looks great.

You’re so pretty! I think you look awesome. The lip color would look even better in a darker shade. Also, most MUA will give a slight wing to the eyeliner when the client has downturned eyes like yours. I think a slight, unexaggerated cat eye would turn your eyes up nicely. You’re so lucky, your eyes are huge! I would kill for big eyes like yours.

I really like the pink lipstick. It’s a pretty shade of pink. Mac has some good pink blushes you can try in the store before you buy. You can even exchange them if the color is wrong after you see it in natural light. I love flash lashes if you get the right ones. So I say go for it with the lashes! Plus they look great in pictures. And I’m not sure if you filled in your eyebrows but make up artists like to do them for pics.

It really depends on what you want and where and when your wedding is. I think the way you did you makeup now is fine. Looks beautiful. Very natural if that is what you are looking for. If your wedding is in a church, park, beach goes great. If your reception is at night I would and this is just me add some more blush, eyeliner, darker lipstick, and darker eyes. I plan on going with the natural look like yours for the ceremony then added some deeper colors for the reception.

i think you look beautiful!
i’d maybe do a bit of a highlight under your brows or use a darker brown liner since your brows are light – either would help highlight them and better frame your face.

I knew I could count on you all for great advice!
A few of you asked about my eyebrows. I actually did fill them in.. they are actually practically white without a filler. I don’t think I want to go any darker because it blends pretty well right now.. hm..
@brideatbeach– that is one of the reasons I wanted to do my makeup myself. I knew I wouldn’t like it either if it didn’t look natural
@MaiFuture– I like the idea of either lips or eyeshadow being darker – Thanks!
@HawaiiBamaBride – Thank you!
@jayebaby – I didn’t know that – I will have to try the cat eye!
@MrsRingor2011 – The wedding is at a church, then pics on a lake, reception at a golf course. I guess I could add a quick darkening of makeup before the reception. That could be fun!
Also, here’s a pic of me with false eyelashes on. (Excuse the veil, etc. it was taken at my bachelorette party haha) Do you think it still looks natural?

I think you look beautiful. My only sugestion (I just had my make up trial on Saturday, I got the same sugestion.) add just a tiny bit to you eye brows. I was a little unsure when she said this to me, I have very dark brown hair but WOW my eyes popped when she added just a little pencil to the brows. I love your natural glow, good job!

I definitely like the false lashes better, but it looks very natural — if that’s the look you’re going for then so be it.
It’s whatever makes you feel best:)
