Hi everyone! I’m having a hard time choosing a style of wedding band to go with my e-ring. It’s a 7mm (1.25 equivalent) round solitaire on a plain 2mm band. I know for the final decision I will need to buy some cheap options and try them out in real life, but I need to narrow down my choices first because I am considering everything!! 😫
I like the timeless look of a plain wedding band to match the e-ring, but then sometimes I think I would like a little bling or design on the wedding band since the e-ring is a plan band. First world problems, amiright?
Sooo help me out with some real-life pics. If you have a round solitaire e-ring show me your wedding set to help me decide!! Here’s my e-ring

Your ering is beautiful! The super fun thing about solitaires is that you have such a huge selection of bands to choose from!
Here is my set 🙂

Your ering is beautiful! Like pp has said, almost anything goes with the solitaire, so focus on what specific details are important in just your wedding ring 😊
Here’s mine, I went with a mobius twist to accommodate the compass point twist setting of my ering. And imo also looks lovely on its own!

I say go for a plain band…there is nothing more classy than a plain band. You can always get a blingy band for an anniversary. Here is my plain band set:

I think my new wedding band would go wonderfully with a plain solitaire. It’s 3mm, rose gold, and has a floral motif. It’s from Rare Earth on Etsy.

Hey dancingbee3940, congrats on your engagement! My biggest suggestion to you is to go to different jewelers and try on everything. Before I tried on different wedding bands, I was similar to you- I liked the traditional appeal of a plain band, but I was leaning towards a channel-set wedding band because of the extra bling factor. However, after trying on many different options, I found that I preferred the way the plain band looked. I still love the channel-set band, but I think I am going to ask for it as an anniversary present farther down the line. That way, I can have the best of both worlds and eventually have a cute stack 🙂
Here is a picture of my engagement ring (3/4 carat & ~2.7 mm tapered band) with a 3 mm plain wedding band. We are going to go with a 2.5 mm plain wedding band, but the 3 mm gives you a pretty good idea of what my set will look like.

oooo love that! Are those full or half eternity bands? Do they irritate your pinky/middle finger at all?

Your ring is lovely!
I have two e-rings and two wedding bands- not two sets, but I can mix and match them. My standard set is my sapphire with a plain band and spacer with 6 small diamonds.
My alternate ering is a moissanite and my second wedding band is an eternity. I haven’t worn these out as a set but I was playing with putting all my bling on one finger.

love those!! I hadn’t thought of a thin spacer with some bling while still having a plain wedding band, that’s a great idea without making the stack too thick! Thank you 😊😊
