Our invites just went out and guests got them within the last couple of days as everything is going down. That means guests are going to our website now.
We live on the west coast but are holding our wedding in the Boston area. We met there, have many friends and family there, and still feel the city is our home and heart.
Does anyone have suggestions of tasteful ways to show our respects and solidarity with the city on our site? It doesn’t seem right not to do something. Thanks for your suggesitons.

I don’t know that I would put something on your website about the bombings just to “show solidarity.” You can show all the solidarity you want it doesn’t necessarily make anything different or better. It’s like when people do that “Like if you hate child abuse!” stuff on Facebook. Sure you hate child abuse, and sure you feel horrible for the victims of this senseless crime.
If I were you, I’d consider making a donation in your guests’ honor to a some charity that is helping the victims of the bombings. That would actually be a meaningful gesture.

@hyperJulie: Very good suggestion, and also great points to think about. Thank you!
