is there a close enough size he can order and have it altered? Sounds like a cost he should bear since he’s a little fibber

@MrsLowes:  Since it’s not a funky pattern or cut, I’m sure he’d be able to find a match. Is he in the same city as your Fiance and/or one of the groomsmen? Someone with a suit could go with him to the stores to compare on the spot. If not, he better find a better resolution picture and get a good printout to take along with him.

@MrsLowes:  He could also ask customer service to check stock in stores. Just because a size isn’t available for online ordering doesn’t mean it isn’t out there is a store somewhere.

@MrsLowes:  Style answer first: If they were all slightly different shades, it would be fine, but one out of (how many is it?) means it could look odd.  You may actually better off putting him in, say, navy – that way it looks like e is wearing a different suit, by design, rather than looking like, well, looking like what it is, which is trying to match, but missing.

With that said, are any local groomsmen around to participate in a shopping trip?  Charcoal is probably, fortunately, the most, or one of the most, forgiving colour for this particular, sartorial, sin.  But I would definitely be sure to try in store, and have the other suit with you for comparison, to be sure.  You could also vary some of the other details in the suit, so it looks like, again, you planned to allow different suits.  Get peak lapels instead of notch, or a one button closure instead of two, or double breasted instead of single breasted, etc.

Personal answer: this is your brother.  Do not exclude him because he screwed up.  Be mad at him, sure, but, at the end of the day, your relationship with your brother is more important than your wedding photos.

During the ceremony itself, no one’s going to be looking at him.  Well, ok I would be, but silently judging people’s clothing is just one of my people watching games, because I’m kind of a dick.  And you don’t need to impress me, on account of I’m kind of a dick 😛
