@nycbrde2011:  I’m laughing because my DH did this exact thing! We were married on a beach in Oahu – our entire wedding party was in formal attire and flip flops.

@nycbrde2011:  Were getting married in a gazebo also. I would probably freak out if my fiancé asked me such a question. Lol. but compromising sounds like a good idea.

I’m having a Destination Wedding in Punta Cana. My Fiance is wearing a suit and flip flops. It suits the setting. To me formal leather shoes look really out of place on a beach.

My Fiance is wearing Rainbow sandals with his suit. We’re getting married on the rocks in Negri, Jamaica. We’re going to be barefoot for the ceremony but for pictures and the reception we both have sandals. Wearing dress shoes would look funnier to me than sandals do!
