I still have some time to think about it, but I was wondering…did you or will you have all your ushers, dads, groomsmen and grooms in the same suits? Or rather, same color of suits?
The reason I ask is that my dad had bought a tux a few years ago that he has been dying to wear somewhere and was excited to wear it to my wedding. Well, the guys are going to be wearing gray suits with pale green/seersucker ties. So I was thinking, to accommodate my dad, that the dads wear black suits (of their own choosing) and similar colored ties and boutonnieres. That way my dad won’t “stand out” if he wants to wear his tux (which I told him no bow tie, just normal tie to dress it down a bit).
Does any of this make sense…I’m just trying to figure out how to make it easiest on all the boys!
Thanks for your help in advance!

I think that would be great! Our guys wore black suits with pale green vest/tie combos, and the dads wore black suits with black vest/tie combos to differentiate them,so I think it’s perfectly fine to have the dads in different outfits, especially if your dad already has a tux!

Our groomsmen and dads all wore black tuxes. The Groomsmen were all in the same tux, vest, tie combo (that was different from DH so that he stood out a bit) and then the dads chose whatever black tux they wanted and picked a vest/tie combo that went well with what their wives were wearing.

we are getting married on the beach so are doing tan suits for the groomsmen and the dads, the ushers are just wearing tan pants and a white shirt with a similar tie (without the suit jacket). It seemed like just enough to know they are a part of the wedding without adding additional costs for them.
